I’m giving away a free copy of Michelle Boyd’s book, Becoming the Writer You Already Are to one of my paid subscribers. So, if you haven't gotten around to becoming a paid reader, here's some extra incentive!
“Becoming the Writer You Already Are helps scholars uncover their unique writing process and design a writing practice that fits how they work.” What I appreciate about Boyd's approach is that she recognizes that a successful writing practice does not look the same for everyone. She also encourages a lot of reflection so that individuals can find what works best for them.
To enter, consider what makes your writing practice successful by responding to one or more of the following prompts in at least 100 words and posting them as a comment:
Describe any moments of self-discovery or realizations you've had about your writing style and approach. What strategies or techniques have you found most helpful in improving your writing skills and productivity? How do you tailor your writing practice to suit your individual needs and preferences? Do you have any special rituals, environments, or tools that contribute to your writing process?
My goal is to crowdsource a variety of approaches and practices that work for different people, because you never know when your approach will be exactly what someone else needs!
You’ll have until Thursday May 25th, at 5 p.m. CST to enter the drawing.
