Here we are, dear readers, almost at the end of July! It’s been my first full month of weekly musings at Publish Not Perish and I’m happy to see so many subscribers joining the fun. Thanks for trusting me with your inbox.

Next month I’ll post advice for planning for writing in the new semester that is looming for many of us here in the northern hemisphere. These include tips for new PhD students and a post on planning your writing like you plan your syllabus.

Today I’m experimenting with a digest format of some of my favorite media I’ve consumed over the past month on writing, productivity, and managing all-the-things. Some of this content is new, some of it is old, but all of it has kernels of wisdom for busy academic writers.

I’m also including a few images I took on a road trip in July.
