The Often-Overlooked Component of an Argument-Driven Manuscript

Earlier this week, I wrote about crafting argument-driven manuscripts and explored the analogy of thinking like a lawyer to create arguments for a variety of genres of academic writing in the humanities and qualitative social sciences. In today's quick-hit, I'm going to circle back to that analogy in order to discuss the "so what," which is a component of an argument-driven manuscript that can be difficult to uncover but is crucial to the argument’s overall ability to convince.
